12, Guangzhou Customs statistics released, in February 2010, Guangdong exported 1.81 billion U.S. dollars of furniture and parts thereof, a substantial increase over last year 36.7%, and more than the level before the financial crisis, compared with February 2008, total exports increased by 17.3%. Among them, the ASEAN exports 250 million U.S. dollars, a sharp increase of 2.3 times.
Since February last year after the financial crisis, low furniture exports in Guangdong, exported only 430 million U.S. dollars that month. In February this year, monthly exports reached 790 million U.S. dollars, up 84% of rapid growth, but across the New Year holiday, the export value chain in January fell 23%.
It is understood that the Guangdong main export furniture to the United States and the European Union, the former in February this year, Guangdong exported furniture to the United States 550 million U.S. dollars, up 19.7%; on EU exports of 440 million U.S. dollars, up 24.2%; the two markets together account for the same period exports of Guangdong Furniture 54.6% of the total. Over the same period, Guangdong exported 250 million U.S. dollars to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, the rapid growth of 2.3 times. At present, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangzhou and Shunde is a major exporter, the four regions together account for the same period in Guangdong 71.3% of total furniture exports.
Customs analyzed that the relatively good situation in Guangdong Furniture exports, mainly due to the end of overseas vendors eager to replenish inventories, led to the recent scale of China's furniture exports is relatively high. In addition, since completion of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations on the demand for Chinese furniture show rapid growth.
